As well as David Sherman another brother Idel Efrain Sherman avoided the
draft in 1915 in Zarasai Lithuania.
Idel=Yehudah/Judah.
I have no idea where he went, possibly as close as Latvia or even Vilna. Or
maybe to USA.
I cannot see any trace of him in Scotland or South Africa.
Yehuda Sherman in Cooks County (Chicago) up to the 1940 USA Census looks
the most promising but I cannot find a father's name. He is not on the
JewishGen Burials list.

Idel Efraim could have been born between 1865 and 1892.
Father Elias Todres/Todres Elias
Mother Rebecca.
Brothers were Harris in Scotland. Louis in UK. Ada and Louis Compinsky in
USA (W Virginia, NY State and finally California), Sarah and Dora and
Rocheleah in London.
Abraham Isaac in Vilna.

Can anyone recognize him?

Rosalind is looking for missing/unknown siblings where she knows what happened
to some of the family members. One idea is to look at the probate files if any
exist for the known siblings. They might mention a long lost sibling or even
have left something to a sibling living cross town or across the globe. For he
names you see as candidates you could try and get their individual death
certificates in the USA as they might have details but personally I would start
with the known siblings looking at probate and other records to see if a family
member shows up. Even check things like witness names at a marriage to see.
Also check local newspapers because I have found articles about parties that
list guests, etc. and you find family members there.
