Dear fellow Lida District researchers:

I'm delighted to let you know that I've just uploaded the translation of the
1906 Family List for Radun to our LitvakSIG Lida District Research Group.

This file contains the names of 3,050 individuals registered with the
Radun Jewish Community. Most records contain a person's first and last name,
and father's name, the age or date of birth, the year of conscription, and some
death dates that precede the year in which surviving vital records for Radun begin.

The translation of these records is a joint project between LitvakSIG
and Belarus SIG, and once again, I want to extend heartfelt thanks to Paul Zoglin
of Belarus SIG for his translation-related help.

While this translation will be publicly searchable in the LitvakSIG All Lithuania
Database and JewishGen Belarus Database after at least 18 months, it is
currently available only to qualified participants in the LitvakSIG Lida District
Research Group. A contribution of $100 US will guarantee you immediate
access to Excel files of all translations of records -- new and old -- for towns
in the Lida District through December 31, 2021.

Even though the translation is a joint project between LitvakSIG and
Belarus SIG, all contributions should be sent to LitvakSIG. If you are
able to contribute, please go to:

https://www.litvaksig.org/membership-and-contributions/join-and-contribute/
Click on "Research Groups for Districts and Gubernias" and choose
Lida District.

A list of surnames, with a count of how many times each appears in
the Radun 1906 Family List, can be found on the homepage of our
site, under the section titled "Surname Lists"

Next in the pipeline will be the 1908 Shchuchin Family List and 1904
Orlya Family List.

We have been able to translate the 1906 Radun Family List, and the
1903/5 Lida Family List, because of thecommitment and generosity.
of researchers with connections to Lida District towns. These lists
have been large, and your support is still needed. Your contribution
now will be doubled by a matching grant, so now is an excellent
time to donate.

I was really excited to hear from some of you how you had found
family in the 1903/1905 Lida Family List. I hope those of you with
Radun connections areas fortunate with this list.

Thanks again for your support. Please write me at JRBa...@aol.com
if you have any questions.
