Gesher Galicia is pleased to announce the addition of new records on
the All Galicia Database (AGD)--a database that is available to all.
See: https://search.geshergalicia.org/

This communication refers to the Medical Students/Doctors Project. To
learn about this initiative, please follow the link:
https://www.geshergalicia.org/projects/galician-medical-students-doctors-project/
Earlier this year, the indexes of Jewish medical students from
Jagiellonian University (Krakow, Poland) were posted.

In the current update, we share listings of Galician students and
graduates from Pest University (present-day Semmelweis University,
Budapest, Hungary). The following indexes have been added to the
searchable database (AGD):

-- Pest University: Jewish Medical, Surgical, and Midwifery Students (1793-1846)
-- Pest University: Jewish Medical Graduates (1770-1921)

Members of Gesher Galicia can also view supplemental information from
the university records and other sources (e.g., regarding parental
information, studies, places of clinical practice, etc.).
Supplemental data are accessible via the Members Portal after login:
https://www.geshergalicia.org/login/ and can be found in the Members'
Records archive under the Jewish Medical Students.

Later this year, the indexes from Lemberg/Lwow University, with the
names of Jewish students from Galicia, will be added to the All
Galicia Database. Indexes from other Habsburg universities attended by
the Galician Jews will follow.
