I have received a copy of the will filed in Los Angeles, CA, USA (and
also St. Louis, MO, USA) for Adolph/Abe LENTZNER [LENCZNER] who died in
CA 13 Mar 1922. "Uncle Abe" was the brother of my great grandmother. He
immigrated to this "Uncle Samuel" GLICKSMAN [GLIKSMAN] in Philadelphia
before moving onto St. Louis and then Los Angeles. The will list three
of his children by two relationships and four of six ICHKOWSKY
stepchildren who used the LENTZNER surname as well as his mother, Getel
Reva LENTZNER [LENCZNER], age 75, "Russia, Poland" all names known to me.

However, the subject individuals are new and unknown to me. In the will
they are listed as legatees and devisees" along with the stepchildren
and his mother. Their names are listed as "Rosa L. Wiener (Hopkins)",
age 47[1875] and "Rachel Gendel Lentzner Tremon" age 50[1872]. Difficult
to determine if a maiden name is provided. I have found a Rose LENTZNER
who married 1 Aug 1898 in Philadelphia to a James H. ADAMS (b. 3 May
1861, Chicago, IL). This may be the Rose LENTZNER ADAMS d/o Abe LENTZNER
and Lena GLICKMAN who married Oscar HOPKINS 26 May 1919 in Detroit, MI.
For the 1920 Census there is a Rose HOPKINS wife of Oscar b. abt 1878,
immigrated 1895, POB: Poland.

Adolph may have had an ex-wife in Poland, mother of his daughter
Bertha/Brucha (LENCZNER) DEMBA of St. Louis, MO.

I am posting just on the wild chance that these subject individuals may
be known to others and for future searches.

Thanks,

Michael McTeer
