Hello,
If anyone is a descendant of Malka Oberman Shapira, born 1895 in
Volochisk, Ukraine, I would great appreciate their getting in touch with me.
Mrs. Shapira recorded a Yiddish account of life in Volochisk, a small
shtetl on the Ukraine and Austria-Hungarian empire. The interview was recorded,
along with many others, in NYC the 60s as part of theLanguage and Culture Atlas of
Ashkenazic Jewry and is available to listen to in the Sound Archive section of
http://www.eydes.de/UsrE30706C6GK/.

Thanks so much,

Helen Nash May
