Nazi treatment of German "Mischlingen" (persons with both Jewish and other
family origin) was complicated and often varied by time and location, with
many sent to forced labor camps in 1944-45/ One such camp was located in
Sitzendorf in Thuringia, and I have prepared a database of the 200 male
survivors located there. With the exception of the 4 Dutch, 10 French and
one Belgian, the rest were German. Some of the German names appear in the
1939 census, but many avoided registration.

This database will appear on Jewishgen and My Heritage, but, in the
meantime, if anyone can use the database, or has a Sitzendorf connection
please let me know and I will provide the list or check individual names.
