I am pleased that a number of people responded to my quest to find
how Chaim FEIGELMAN traveled to New York. I don't have a complete
list of all, but I would like to thank Barbara Zimmer, A. Jordan,
Sol Sylvan and Syllvia Waynar. I can trace Chaim leaving Hamburg on
25 January, 1899, but I can't find how he traveled from Liverpool to
New York. There were some interesting spellings from Oogelman,
Bogilman, Vogelman, that was sent to me from Barbara Zimmer, and
other paths to follow from Sol Sylvan, but the key is 1899 when Chaim
started his journey. While several leads were promising, , but the
arrival in New York, and other cities, including Canadian ports, and
other US ports, the years of arrival were not correct.

I shall be going to look at microfilms at the near by FHC. I don;t
know if the center has films to view, or what is available from Salt
Lake to rent.

Regardless where I go next, I want to thank you all for your
suggestions. - I will keep on plodding along... He did not
become a citizen, and the First Papers he filed are not
available. . The First Papers are indexed within a person's
Naturalization Papers , not filed separately.
