The passenger manifest for the Fuerst Bismarck, which arrived at New
York on about 10 July 1903, lists a Markus GRAEBER that I believe to
be my great uncle, who was born about 1884 in Sanok, Galicia. The
manifest gives Markus' point of contact in the United States as one
Abraham GRAEBER, evidently a cousin. (The annotation "bro" had been
crossed out and "cous" written in.) I am trying to figure out who this
Abraham GRAEBER was. I know from a vital-records summary for Sanok that
GRAEBER was a fairly common name there, so the idea that Markus and
Abraham were cousins is hardly shocking.

Abraham GRAEBER's address in New York City is given on the manifest as
622 East 5th Street, which is solidly within the Lower East Side of
Manhattan.

If you believe this Abraham GRAEBER might be your ancestor, please
contact me. Thanks.
