Dear JewishGenners,

I'm trying to trace the family of my Great-grandparents Chaim Salomon
Fischer and Ewa Fischer, who came from Krakow, Galicia. I know about the
families of four of their five children, but not the fifth, Samuel, and it
is his family (if any) I’d like to trace. This is what I know so far:

1876 - Born Samuel Petachja FISCHER, Krakow,16 May
1882 - Family 'emigrated' to New York, but were back in Krakow the following
year.
1890 - Family still in Krakow 1890.
1901 - Family (now named "Fisher") in London, England, but Samuel not with
them. No definite sign of him elsewhere in England census.
1912 - Still alive in November, but not necessarily in England, unmarried,
named "Samuel FISHER" (mourning death of mother according to Jewish
Chronicle death notice; sons-in-law mentioned but no daughters-in-law).

Did he go to the US? Anywhere else? Did he marry? Were/are there
descendants? Trouble is, Samuel/Sam Fisher is a common name!

Any definite information gratefully received!

Jeremy Antrich, Surbiton, Greater London, England
