X-No-archive: yes
I came upon a Masonic Temple in the 2000 block of McCulloh Street in
Baltimore that appears to have been a synagogue. The central window
has been partially covered over, but the uncovered part clearly shows
a Jewish star. And there is a carving of the 10 commandments at the
top. I'd love to find out about the history of this synagogue --
name, date of founding, facts about the congregation, when it ceased
to be a synagogue. It is now in a rather rundown black neighborhood.
Thanks.
