Dear List Members:

I am searching for any descendants and family of Max GOLDMAN and his wife
Minnie nee LAIZEROWITZ of New York City (Manhattan to the Bronx to
Brooklyn). They are buried in the Gostynin Landsmannschaft burial section
at the 'old' Monterfiore Cemetery in Queens. Max has the image on his
gravestone as being "haCohen" or a member of the priestly class. All of
my Goldman male ancestors were from Gostynin, Poland (once under Russian
rule) and were noted as being "haCohen". I believe that Max is related,
but have yet to figure out the connection. Max was the son of Wolf Goldman
and Bela Lazarowitz. He was born in Gostynin August 4, 1857 and died
September 11, 1942 in Brooklyn. His wife Minnie was the daughter of Mav?
Goldman and Kate Lazerowitz. She was born in 1868 and died January 14,
1927 in the Bronx. I have a great-uncle, Nathan Goldman, who was born in
Gostynin and came to Detroit, Michigan ca. 1902. His wife was Sarah
Lazerowitz, daughter of Alter Lazerowitz. Max and Minnie may have had a
son names Louis who died in 1898 at age 3 in Manhattan. I'm looking for
anyone who may have a connection to this family.

Thanks very much,

Mr. Julian H. Preisler
