According to our family tree, one of our ancestors was a Rabbi Yosef
who , supposedly, was the Rav of a town named Brezhnitz. This Rav
Yosef married the daughter of Rav Arieh Leib ben (son of) Shmuel who
were the Rabbis of Kremenetz during the 18th cent. These Rabbis were
descendants of R' Naftali KATZ , who authored the "Smichat Chachamim".

I am trying to identify the town Brezhnitz as there many towns with
similiar sounding names and hope that the details regarding the above
Rabbi will help someone identify this place. I presume that the
Brezhnitz I am looking for is not Breznitz, in Czech.

Thank you
