On behalf of my 67-year-old mother: What dating site/app should she be using?
She wants to avoid scammers as much as possible. I naively suggested Tinder, since a lot of redditors talk about Tinder. I didn't know that Tinder had a maximum age of 50.
I don't know these things because because I've been blissfully unaware of online dating for the last 7-8 years since I've been with the same woman the whole time. Can you help me out? My mom is driving me nuts.
Again: looking to avoid scammers as much as possible.
Edit: She's banned from eHarmony because she was married and divorced twice.

Forget websites. She needs to go to music concerts of bands that were famous when she was in her teens/20s. The audience will be filled with guys her age. Tell her to bring along a girlfriend or two and to look sharp as a tack. The scene near the restrooms/refreshment area is where she can find her pick of guys. I know of what I speak…..

I wonder what our generation is going to look like in our later years haha. I doubt 65 year old Avicii is going to rave to some house music at a concert or venue :D
Who will be the Bruce Springsteen of our generation.

After googling "dating sites for seniors," I've found that the AARP has a dating site lol.
http://dating.aarp.org
There are other results too if you google
OH and there's Our Time, which I've seen commercials for on TV

Thank you, but do you know anyone with first-hand experience with those sites? Are there lots of scammers and phishers?

My mother's uncle met a woman on Match.com when he was in his 70's. I have a friend in her early 50's who has had good success with Match. I don't think she's had any problems with scammers.

If she can afford it, what about going on a cruise that's targeted towards seniors?

One of the paid ones, I'd say Match or OurTime, which is geared at older folks.
I don't have personal experience with either, and you're never going to avoid scammers completely, but I think that she will have significantly fewer issues with those.

My mom is 64 and she used okcupid and match. She met her current SO on okcupid and they just bought a house together. My dad is 68 and he met his SO of 5 years on match. I can relay questions to my mom if your mom has any. Feel free to PM me or just comment back.

My mom is 57 and has had good luck on plenty of fish. Not sure where the upper limit is on that though

Uh any with your supervision. So many older people go on there and just hand out cash to randoms because they're lonely and it's ridiculous.

My mother is using eharmony and has been quite successful: two dates in two weeks and she really hit it off with one of them.
Edit: missed your edit. Never mind.

I don't think Tinder does have a max age of 50, since my Dad just met his next wife on Tinder and both of them are much closer to 60 than 50.
