By this you mean the Eastern Front. The russians were nearly as bad as the
Nazis in WW2, but at least they had some justification for their crimes.
Before this happened the Nazis invaded Russia, initially they were treated
as liberators by the Russian people, but because Hitler had decided that the
Slavs were 'Ubermench' the Nazis deliberately started killing Slavs, Russian
POWs were systematically executed.

Did you hear about the entire French village that the Nazis decided to
eliminate as a reprisal for the killing of a couple of Germans by the
Resistance ? I can't remember the name of the place at the moment but I'm
sure it will come to me. Bear in mind that the Nazis treated France and
Scandanavia the best of their conquered territories. Look up the conditions
in Russia or Poland or Czechoslavakia.
