What makes people like you assume that anyone who holds ideas counter to yours
is a "liberal"? xona is no liberal. She is a libertarian, the bane of both
conservatives' and liberals' existence.
I think those who demonize "liberals" are even worse than the despicable xona,
however. You don't even stop long enough to think about what you're saying,
yet claim political, moral and social superiority.

So...she's a libertarian troll. I'm tired of these Limbaugh Conservative
Dittoheads blaming everything on liberals. I don't even like liberals, in
fact I like them just slightly better than I like racists (for whom I hold NO
tolerance). But I detest this sort of Conservatives' hypocrisy even more. On

Okay. Neither is this person a "liberal" or "a leftie". At best, xona is
precisely as she describes herself. She is a troll. Nothing more.

Yes, starting with not associating this person as a "liberal". She takes as
many shots at liberals as she does conservatives. In fact, she goes after
libertarians. She's a troll. She posts to incite. Clearly she is a
successful troll.
I am not defending xona. If anything, I am defending the rights of anyone to
state opinions, however whacky, and not have entire groups defined by the acts
of the whackos. Castigate the whackos on their individual merit, such as it
is. If I were a liberal, I certainly wouldn't want to be associated with
xona's views.

You still don't get it. xona is not a "lefty". You seem to be stuck on the
concept that there is only a choice between "left" and "right". Either You
are with Us, or You are one of Them. This is not realistic, and it is an
intellectually lazy concept.

Then call a jerk a jerk. Don't pretend they have any political leanings.
They often do not. Jerks post on Usenet for effect, just as they take public
stances for effect. In the final analysis, they are still just...jerks.

Libertarianism is based upon a mutual respect for the rights of others.
This person in no libertarian as I know them to be from years of close
association. Also, I don't "demonize" all liberals -- just those that
can't string a post together without dipping from the gutter. I should
have made that clearer in my response, as I have in other posts. In
that, your point is well taken.
I guess I had just had a gutfull of the mindless hatred -- as bitter as

I have enjoyed many a debate with some truly fun lefties. On a few

hate-mongers of the movement.

I was not speaking of xona when I spoke of the lefties I enjoy spending
time with. Also, the interesting folks I am speaking of are PROUDLY
from the left end of the spectrum. Remember, I live in Austin, TX and
REAL liberals are the majority here. But, a key point, many of them are
a LOT of fun to be around.
FYI, I tend to hold to the libertarian concept that the political
spectrum is actually a circle. On one side are those that advocate
total freedom (libertarians). Go in either direction to the left or
right on that circle far enough and you will run into those that
advocate total government control. A Nazi and a Communist simply took
two different routes to end up at the same destination:
totalitarianism. At varying stops aslong the way are the political
parties, etc. The unifying theme is government control vs. individual
control.

Here I have to differ. I have known many jerks with clear political
leanings. Some of them would have been happy to enforce their
particular leanings using government power as a stick. These folks made
me a tad nervous.

But...but...but... Irrespective of how you feel about some "lefties", xona
isn't a "leftie" at all. She's an equal opportunity hater. That is the real
point here.

Trolls are another species. They are jerks that cannot be described using
conventional reasoning. The truth of the matter is, trolls act in the manner
they do because they have no power and never will. Attributing any known
political leanings to them is a mistake. Particularly this one.

Well, I suppose she gets her jollies. Heaven knows her posts illicit quite a

I picked it up when I visited Japan eons ago. I told some of my karate
training partners about the term, and they decided it fit my personality and
fighting style. It's been my nickname ever since. Some people still call me
by the name "Kaiju" rather than my given name.

as from one newsgroup to another,
they leave their scaremonger posts;
words of scatology

And like the eternal cockroach

protected by a mighty GOD,
know as the American constitution.

Let me know when your half-assed political thermometer registers
"leftist" at a troll like xona, who refers to Black people as
"niggers".

I refer to black pieces of human scum, like you, as niggers, for
that is what they are-- nigger racist of the highest order, vile
foul smelling rodents like you and what your mother probably
was, and what one of the niggers who probably gangbanged your mother, and
is your real nigger father. Niggers, produce niggers, and you Wayne
are a true filthy, stupid-ass, bigoted NIGGER. But then, what's new.

I hadn't seen xona other equally awful posts. Another has since told me
of them (YUCK), and I agree that she is not a liberal. She is just a
kook. She now lives at the Hotel Killfile.

I actually knew a very interesting Communist at one point. We didn't
shout at all. We did stay up late a few times and debate passionately,
but I still rather liked him.

Of course, I've stomped your fans, too. Remember this one?
