Formula for calculating wait time/service time/IO response time

Hello Everyone,

I am creating a CIM client for generating the performance metrics report for EMC. Can somebody please help me point to the location or help me to find any documentation describing about how to calculate the wait time, service time and IO response time? Are there any/few formulas involve which drives these metrics?
