I have two answers here Yes and No.

Yes because, it is common term used for a virtual disk on storage array exposed through scsi protocol to a host.

No because, it is not correct. We should not use LUN term for virtual disk on array it is technically incorrect. for further details refer http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Logical_unit_number

I am haveing same issue as yours. Not very clear in How to differentiate between LUN and Volume while creation ie difference between the command for the two. Do you have any answer now?

Any help is appreciated
