Delete Install?

Should the slir/install directory be deleted after a successful install of the library? 

I was having a problem getting images to display until I noticed the slir directory had be apparently populated multiple times with files and folders. I may have loaded the slir/install directory in my browser more than once. After deleted the slir directory, then putting it back and loading slir/install, everything is fine.
