Good stuff, I'm impressed by SlickGrid and not looking back
(Datatables...)

DataTables is a fantastic component, but it addresses a completely different need.

The browsers I'm testing on were starting to chocke above 5000 rows.
Also I find the coding style in SlickGrid much easier to work with.
I'm surprised by some things I see like when you compile the filter, I
didn't know you could do that!

It seems like it takes some time for Chrome to update
document.styleSheets.
I've implemented a counter with a callback as they do here:
http://www.zachleat.com/web/load-css-dynamically/
Now I'm going to carry on this discussion on the Github:
https://github.com/mleibman/SlickGrid/issues/223?

Is there any chance of some additional documentation being added? I've
been able to make slickGrid do some basic things, but it is by a
pretty wide margin the most frustrating tool I've ever tried to use in
relation to its sophistication. It also seems to me like some of the
example files provided use outdated code.

Documentation is a continuous struggle.  I found that having lots of examples demonstrating common use cases is a much more effective way of documenting a product.

What examples appear to be using outdated code?

A little late, but thank you Michael.
