Canvas element?

I'm wanting to develop a cell based simulation system, and would like a browser based version using skulpt as well as a 'normal' python version. This needs to be able to draw and manipulate graphics on the screen so a canvas type element is needed. Ideally the browser based and normal versions would have a similar canvas implementation. Is there currently and nice way to access the canvas in skulpt, or are there any plans to do so?

You can use either the turtle or processing modules.
