Hi all, my company (livit.media) is organising a high stakes poker
game on a yatch. It will be a Texas-Hold'em game with a minimum $500
buy-in; standard casino rules. It will be a professional game offering
the tense atmosphere of a rare high stakes game with strangers, such
as in a casino or even W.S.O.P.

There are currently already 2 - 3 tables which have been booked, but
the date is not yet fixed. It will however be taking place in
January. This event will be held monthly/bi-monthly,
with winner-take-all tournaments being held quarterly, and with a buy
in of $500 each the pot will have a minimum of $20,000 - $25,000.

There will be a $100 fee to reserve your seat as all games will only
be organised in full tables of 10, and a 5% dealer's commission, to
cover the cost of the yatch, and the food and drinks (alcoholic and
non-alcoholic) which will be provided free of charge.

If any of you are interested in testing your skills or booking your
spot and getting to know other high rollers and poker enthusiasts,
feel free to contact me at slag...@hotmail.com, and please leave
your name, number and any inquiries u may have.

Dress code: Formal / Smart Casual

Are there going to be cash (ring) games?

Not so much interested in winner-take-all tournaments. Standard payout
tournaments maybe, but not winner-take-all.

Thanks for responding guys.
For your info, the $100 fee is non-refundable, it goes to cover the
cost of the yatch as well as book your spot.
The yatch will be out at sea for at least 6hrs or longer, possibly to
international waters very close to the south of singapore.
As the buy-in is $500 the blinds will be sb$5 bb $10, and the games
will be NL Hold'em, tournaments will be held quarterly.
And for Sean, there is no age limit for our event.

So it's a cash game.

No offence taken, it's a good point. Ours is a new company doing
events, so in terms of company endorsement there isnt much yet, but i
do play with alot of different groups of players. How do you define
known players though? I dont think any of my friends are on this
forum, but if they are im not sure. Anyway, you can feel free to drop
me a msg @ 92749522 for any further inquiries you may have. The event
will most likely be taking place on the 19th of Jan 2008, saturday.

Not to be an ass or anything, but you are holding this in
international waters which usually means that this is not allowed here
which should be that case since rakes are used. Dun know about the
actual legality of it all, but try not to be on the front page of the
psuedo-moralistic New Paper. Poker playing doesnt need any more black
eyes.
