A week or two ago I completed translating the strings for Esperanto (EO). However when I went to
https://github.com/silverstripe/silverstripe-cms/tree/translation-staging/lang
today, it still says that the eo.yml file was last updated 2 months ago. I thought that the language files are updated every day. Is something broken?

Hello Donald,

Our continuous integration build of the translations sync was broken.
I've fixed it, updated the translations, and merged them back into 3.0 and 3.1.
Will keep an eye on the build in the next days, the idea is still
that it'll update the codebase at least once every 24h. Keep in mind that this
update goes to a special "translation-staging" branch, we're merging
back to the actual release lines every couple of weeks only, after manual review.

Thanks
Ingo

Thank you, Ingo.

I have just had a look at the file eo.yml (from the staging page) and it looks good, but I did spot an error. The English has got into
PLURALNAME: 'Virtual Pags'
Should this be 'Virtual Pages' in English?
How do we make a correction to an item that has been translated?

Anyway, it now says eo.yml was updated 15 hours ago. Perhaps the same situation has occurred with
other languages. Hopefully they will all come right by tomorrow.

Hi, Ingo

Ah! Now things have changed. Several of the other languages have been marked as changed "2 days ago".

Now we wait for the two-weekly release. Who does the manual review? Do you announce the release?

Thanks
Donald

We typically only do the manual review+merge when we're preparing a release,
and then its performed by whoever is the release manager at the time.
In general, if you need the translations in your codebase, I'd advise you
to simply download them from the translations-staging branch :)
