Hi all,

Just writing to let you know that I have left SilverStripe Australia and the core development team. As part of this I've also transferred ownership of most of the modules I've written to the SilverStripe Australia organisation, and they will co-ordinate future development.

This includes modules such as member profiles and grid field extensions. The packagist packages have also been renamed.

I've enjoyed my time working on SilverStripe, and wish everyone all the best for the future. I'll still be contactable by email if required.

Thanks,
Andrew Short.

It would be somewhat of a travesty if I didn't step forward and grace Andrew with an official farewell from SilverStripe.

Andrew has been responsible for, or integral in, many of the defining moments and leap forward additions to SilverStripe over the last several years. When SilverStripe Australia came on the scene in 2009 Andrew was well renowned as a core developer and key community member and had just contributed nested url's. We had a passionate focus on open source and bringing true open source development and services to the commercial world, it was a huge privilege when Andrew came on board part time while he was at uni in Wollongong. A testament to his honesty, loyalty and work ethic, we had to wait for him to serve out his time at McDonalds as he didn't want to go back on a commitment he made, despite the fact that we would be paying him quite a bit more than McDonalds:)

I am speaking for all the staff of SilverStripe Australia, past and present, when I say that it has been an absolute pleasure to work alongside Andrew over the years and to see him mature as a person and co-worker. We have also had the privilege of enjoying some of Andrews milestones in life, such as his first pub trip during a joint meetup with Sydney PHP, we won't tell your mum Andrew ;)

In short, Andrew, the SilverStripe community, the SilverStripe Australia crew, and I will miss you. We know that you will see enormous success and good fortune in the future, your past and present is such a good precursor to the next stage of your life.

Shane
