Advanced workflow updates

For those following advanced workflow...

We're going to start a couple of separate branch code-lines to be a bit more semver friendly. There's a couple of new features pending in PRs that we want to get merged back into place, but we don't want to disrupt those using existing functionality. To that end

- Current 'master' will be branched as 3.0. Only bug fixes will be going into this branch ongoing

- The current state will be tagged 3.0.6

- Master will then be branched as 3.1 for the new incoming features, and a 3.0.0 tag created once merged in

Note that the version numbers don't represent the SS versions at all! We haven't started work on 3.2 compatibility yet - this will start in a 'develop' branch soon, and will become 4.0 once stable (assuming that it breaks compatibility with SS3.1 of course).
