Cached Underscore Functions

Hi All,

First time caller, long time listener.

Im always looking to get more efficient at my Silverstripe developing. One of the things I came across in my searchings, is the cached underscore functions which isn't overly documented?

This would be really handy, I am wondering why its not documented? All info online seems to date back to 2.4. Is this still relevant in 3.1. I can see the comments in defineMethods() in ViewableData but the relevant code doesn't seem to fire when debugging.

Also, are RelationList calls cached at all?

Sorry in advance if this really should have been channelled to the forums. Wasn't sure where it was most relevant.
