[OT]rm把笔记本弄变砖了

hi all:

有谁遇到过把笔记本变砖的经历。

我大概说明一下情况，刚买的笔记本，默认操作系统windows 8，

重装系统，默认启动系统Linux，发行版选择的kali。

进入bios设置uefi，关闭。

进入分区的时候，发现有默认的恢复区，GPT等，全删了

安装完成后。

还在保修期，某天想重装系统，测试rm的威力，

rm -rfv /

然后机器自动死掉，关电源重启，黑屏。。。。。。。

永远的黑屏。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。

no zuo no die！！！！

最后返厂了。

        现在安装系统一般就不敢去乱动默认的分区了。

这不只是删引导项那么简单了，直接破坏了EFI数据了，相当于过去的乃把BIOS刷坏了
硬盘分区随便动是没关系的，毕竟乃能换硬盘的

EFI关掉的话，整个硬盘应该是想咋整就咋整啊。没听说Legacy BIOS会把数据存硬盘上这一说。

uefi是bios读取硬盘上启动项的一个接口。你删了，他就是读不到。不存在你用rm能把bios删了的。

而且你还关闭了uefi...

你说的＂黑屏＂是开机后屏幕不能点亮；还是bios后，找不到启动项，黑屏？

一键恢复成Windows～

所以说这个地方几个发行版做得不太好

　 'rm -rf' 不仅仅将硬盘清空，还会对 /dev, /proc, /sys 等进行破坏。只是
传统的 BIOS 会被操作系统进行写保护(Read-Only), 而现在的 UEFI 则是部分可写。
所以执行这个命令还破坏了主板。就好比当前挂载了移动硬盘，以及 NFS 网络盘，
那么用 'rm -rf' 破坏的绝不仅仅是本地硬盘。

有人给systemd开了issue，其实这也是我难以理解的，为什么不去ro mount需要修改的时候remount，就像recovery时候的root一样。然而ro的话，麻烦是，grup install的时候也是要修改efivars的 (efibootmgr)

问题在于，如果每个厂商对UEFI的实现都stick to standard，rm /sys/firmware/efi/efivars/问题其实是不大的，它可以恢复

然而很多厂商的实现不是那么的标准，所以。。。

所以目前的 rm 的 safeguard:

rm -rf /
rm: it is dangerous to operate recursively on '/'
rm: use --no-preserve-root to override this failsafe

其实是很好用的

所以，B.Tag，你到底用的是哪个版本的rm?

如果删除硬盘上的全部数据，应该不至于如此，毕竟硬盘可以更换的。

但是，有可能某些发行版，将一些存放在硬件bios里的内容，挂载到系统的文件系统中。

那么，rm -rf / 后，会删除硬件的一些数据，导致系统无法正常启动。按理说硬件数据挂载上去应该是只读，不会被删除。反正就是很奇葩。

原理上我觉得不应该。但是确实听到过有人惨叫说efi文件系统删除会导致引导出问题。

EFI会读取硬盘上指定位置的一个程序，你把它删了，当然要惨叫～

奇葩的是，楼主居然连叫都叫不出来了，这才叫惨～

这可能是一个BIOS的BUG，关了EFI，但是没起作用。或者可以说这是一个未写入文档的Feature。
