error trying to "run" in Studio

to Shiny - Web Framework for R
I have tried to run some of the sample code in the Shiny tutorial in my version of RStudio and I always get this message, "(TypeError: undefined is not an object (evaluating 'c.b')...I cannot find a way around this. What does the message mean, how can I get around it?
