Hi All, I need some motivation to get on my bike more than usual and would like to check out some new roads to bike on. I'm looking for a late fall century to sign up for. I've done Levi's before and it's a great ride but at triple the price of other centuries (currently $170, i know some goes to charity but still) it seems a little extreme.

Has anybody done the Canyon Classic Century up the back of Mt Ham?

How about the wildcat gran fondo? Looks really cool but not sure I am available that weekend

Let me know! Thanks.

I haven't done either of those two, but I have done Foxy's Fall Century a couple of times. There's not a lot of climbing to it but it's well-organized and I enjoy going up to Davis for the weekend. Added plus: you can take the train to get there.

It's very pricey for stuff you can easily go ride yourself, but there's also Jensie's thingy: http://thejensiegranfondo.com/

I haven't done it but Andrew Ballantyne said it was good last year and Jensie actually talked to people and didn't just go OTF never to be seen again.

also pricey but goes to east bay bike coalition, so maybe that benefits you slightly more directly than other charities: http://www.oaklandgranfondo.com/ (but you can ride this anytime yourself so eh.)

Any comments on the Wildcat one?

It sounds fun and in a weekend I have available... need an excuse for a weekend trip anyway. :-)

The Oakland one seems to have pretty good swag - but I'm not around that weekend...
