Any advice or recommendations?

Quad case is expensive but looks like it has good reviews.

I've been very happy with the Quad case.  They haven't yet shipped the iphone 7 version.

Do you mount on your stem or bars?

What do you want it for?
I used to put my phone on my bars, but decided I'd rather use a bluetooth e-ink screen that pulls info from the phone instead and can remain always on without draining phone battery, and letting me keep the phone somewhere maximally safe.
You can actually buy a wahoo rflkt for less than an the quad lock cases ($50).
I use a pebble watch (also useful for lots of other things). You can get the color e-ink pebble time on amazon for $90 (just a hair more than the quad-lock cases...)

Good point. I would like to display the data from either Strava or the Specialized e bike app (Mission Control, which includes a power meter that seems cool). Being able to navigate with Google maps or pop it out to take pictures would be nice, but definitely secondary.

I have a phone case I like (bookbook) and would definitely prefer to not have to change cases for every ride.

If the wahoo just displays app data on a screen and lets me change apps and change screens within an app, I'd actually prefer that!

Pebble and rflkt will both do a great job of giving you speed, altitude, heart-rate, etc. (which is what I imagine you'd be getting from strava?) Perhaps slight advantage to the rflkt with bigger screen and more robust software. Pebble does turn by turn direction from google maps. Don't think rflkt does that, but it does do turn by turn directions from mapmyride routes if you have a subscription. Both will also give you text/call notifications, and with pebble you can even do fancy things like voice-reply to text messages on the bike. Neither will just forward everything from any given app, though.

There was a company called SP Connect at Interbike that was selling a similar product to Quad Lock...I picked up a brochure but didn't get a price sheet--they're here, though: http://www.sp-gadgets.com/sp-connect?filter=1

I just got curious about the RFLKT and saw this:
https://support.strava.com/hc/en-us/articles/216917587-Strava-no-longer-supports-the-Wahoo-RFLKT-and-RFLKT-on-iOS

Strava is dropping the RFLKT in iOS.

This got me thinking. I have a Garmin Edge 305 (old school) with ANT+ capability. Can I just add my iPhone as an ANT+ device and show the power on my Garmin?!?

I use Cycle Meter with the RFLKT while riding, then I have Cycle Meter auto upload upon save to Strava.
I also sometimes mount my iPhone 6 plus on the stem with a topeak case and it works great. This is ok for shorter rides.
