The proposal widen Skyline Boulevard from two to four lanes between Sneath Lane and Highway 280 in San Bruno could be given approval to move ahead to the next phase by the San Bruno City Council on October 10. Here is the agenda. Widening the roadway with more traffic lanes will increase both motorized traffic speeds and volumes, increasing hazards faced by people walking and bicycling on a popular route.

Please contact the City Council members and ask them to VOTE NO against proceeding to the Caltrans Project Initiation Document (PID) phase of the project. After this phase is completed, the Widening project can qualify for funding and be built! If you can, please attend the October 10 7:00 pm San Bruno City Council meeting at the San Bruno Senior Center at 1555 Crystal Springs Rd and provide a PUBLIC COMMENT in opposition to the project.

Two City Council members have already voted against the project as members of a subcommittee (Rico Median and Ken Ibarra), and word is that Marty Medina is undecided. So YOUR calls and emails can make a difference!
