Terrible bike lane design proposed for Haven Avenue in Menlo Park, part of the Bay Trail Route. 5-foot wide bike lanes next to travel lanes ranging from 12 to 20 feet wide, including 5-foot bikes around 90-degree corners. And only a 4-foot wide shoulder stripe in the westbound direction where the travel lane is enormously wide which will encourage car drivers to speed.

This is scheduled to be approved by Menlo Park City Council on June 20, at 701 Laurel Street, Menlo Park. The meeting starts at 7 pm, this is on the Consent Calendar which will probably begin after 7:30 pm.
