Hi,

I´m not sure if it is a bug but at least it would be an improvement:
The top part of the app shows some symbols to access functionalities
like all/favourites, add show, activity, update and search.
But for my device (Galaxy S2) I only can see all the buttons in
landscape mode, in portrait mode it shows me the first three because
the third is much wider and shows the word "Aktivität".
If you select a show I have the same problem: The word "Übersicht" is
scrolling in a very narrow field but the "Gesehen" button is very wide
because it shows the word additionally.
It is getting worse on the seasons view: go to seasons and select a
season: it shows the name and season in a maybe 2 cm wide field and
the rest is filled by "Sortieren nach". Now turn the phone to
landscape and back to portrait: the field for the name of the show and
"season x" is about 0,5 cm wide...
I expect that the idea is to skip the words next to the buttons if
there is not enough space. But at least for me this doesn´t seem to
work, but I remember it was different some time ago. Maybe it was
because of any of your changes or my Android update to 2.3.4.

There is also still the bug I sent you some time ago, you said, you
could not reproduce it. Maybe I can remind you and give you more
information:
The problem is, that in the season overview it happens that you saw
not all episodes but the green bar below is full. The "trigger" for
this is the another season below, exactly minus three. If that older
season has exactly the number of episodes that you saw in the current
season the failure will show up.
Example: you are watching season 6, you saw 12 of 24 episodes. the
green bar should be half. But if season 3 of this show has 12 episodes
in total then the green bars are switched between these two seasons. I
sorted the seasons by "newest first".

Let me know when my explanation is not clear or you need any further
support, screenshots...

Bye and thanks for one of my most used apps,
Thomas

I'm aware of the problems with the Action Bar. Especially the buttons duplicating when rotating (not happening on all versions of Android though). The too wide buttons problem is already corrected in a development version by just not displaying the text anymore.
Just in case: all buttons that do not fit the action bar get moved to the regular menu, accessible by pressing the menu button on your device.

I invested the progress bar issue the first time you reported it. I could not reproduce it nor could I find any errors in the code which would produce this behavior. I will have another look, though.

Hi Uwe,

I´m still curious about "my" progress bar bug, so I also reviewed your
code and also couldn´t find any obvious errors.
I tried to download the sources and build it in Eclipse but I´m quite
new to Eclipse so I failed - I think I managed to import the main
sources (what about the other two, viewpagerindicator and
com_actionbarsherlock?) but some resources, connections, etc. seem to
be missing - I got hundreds of errors! :-( I´m also not sure if I
mixed it up with one of my learning projects, do I need to create a
new workspace??
You don´t know of a step-by-step guide how to import the sources in
Eclipse and get them running, do you?

But important for you should be that I managed to install the
SeriesGuide.apk just on the emulator and surprise - it also shows the
bug on the normal Android 2.3.3 emulator! So it is not related to the
Galaxy SII but probably appears on every Android device.

Bye,
Thomas

Have a look at the new README on the dev branch on how to setup the projects. No separate workspace should be required, just make sure the Android SDK is set up correctly.

And I finally could reproduce your problem. It only happens (as far as I know for now) if you have exactly 7 episodes left in season 7 of House. That is why I never saw your behavior. I'm really curious what this is caused by (I don't have time to look at it now, I have finals over the next few weeks).
