Looking at the repo, the code still seems well maintained. Not sure how it is with new features / new language implementations, would be nice to know :-)

Anybody working on a Perl 6 implementation?

https://irclog.perlgeek.de/perl6/2014-10-26 suggests that it's not that easy to do. But perhaps someone in the Sereal community plan to learn Perl 6 in the process
