How to run same script on Firfox/Chrome/IE browser when execution flow is different

I am creating script which needs to run on browsers like IE/FF/Chrome. In some cases, workflow is different on different browsers. What is the best approach to handle it?

Where the workflow behaviour changes as per browser ,write separate code to handle it based on each browser.
