Can a public website check whether it is controller by Selenium? If yes, how?

If the browser is relevant, let's consider Chrome.

Thank you Simon!

Do you know for example in Chrome what code should I write in order to check the "webdriver-active" flag? Or maybe guide me where to look for it.

Look for the flag on the `navigator` global.

This is good info to know, is this widely implemented across browsers? If not any idea on ETAs? I'm assuming Chrome is one of few with early support for this.

I checked that currently (09.09.2017) the navigator.webdriver flag is not available in Chrome 60 controlled by Selenium 3.5.0. Any ideas why this is so?

Is there another way to check if the browser is controlled by Selenium?
