First off I am new to Google Groups... with that said
I posted a question last night, so I was checking today to see if there were any replies. When I searched for the message, I couldn't find it so I figured I didn't post it correctly.
I wrote the post again and then clicked POST. I then noticed that the message would appear after it was "APPROVED" .

My questions are..
  Who "Approves" the messages?
Is there a way to post and not be "APPROVED"?
The "Approval" process is the bottleneck here,

Thanks to whomever replies  I'm curious

Pat

Patrick,

Who "Approves" the messages?
There are designated moderators who approve "first time" posts.

Is there a way to post and not be "APPROVED"?
No there is NO way to post without a first time approval.

The "Approval" process is the bottleneck here,
Yes, I understand that it sometimes gets frustrating to realise that you posted a message and it didn't show up on the mailer list because it wasn't approved. The approval is required only for the first time posts, and not for every post.
The moderators try their level best to approve messages as and when they show up for approvals. But sometimes it gets missed [ weekends, vacations, emergencies, crazy schedules at work.. or for e.g., a Selenium conference ]. Hope you understand...

Thanks & Regards
