Hi folk's,

sorry to probably be boring you with a basic question, but is it possible to capture an automated customer ID (eg. after registration) to then use it later in the automated script to search for the customer in a different dialog?

I'm using Selenium IDE with Firefox

Any feedback would be apprecited.

I'm not a developer (but tester), and managed to create good scripts so far to generate test data but after generating the customers I then need to search for them and be able to run it agaian and again with new customers and ID's to search for.

You have a good name

I cant directly answer your question but you may want to start using Selenium Webdriver

Selenium IDE is only good for prototyping and I am 99% certain you can perform the above with Webdriver
