Hello all,

ChromeDriver 19.0.1068.0 is now available, with minor features/fixes.  In addition, a new ChromeDriver project site has been created to serve as a central place for ChromeDriver information.  Henceforth, the new site should be used for filing ChromeDriver-specific bugs/feature requests, for finding more info about ChromeDriver, and for downloading releases.  If a bug/request involves other browsers or drivers, please continue to use the normal selenium issue tracker.

Just to verify, does this version have a minimum version of Selenium
or Google Chrome that it will work with?

I ask because it talks about needing a version 19+ for one feature to
work and the most recent for Windows is 17.0.963.79 m (I just
downloaded to be sure). I don't want to install this version if it
won't work with my version of Selenium or Chrome.

Thanks.

New versions of ChromeDriver work with the current stable (which is 17 right now), beta, and dev versions.  Particular features, such as the one you saw, may only be available with newer versions of Chrome.  If you are using an older version of Chrome, the particular feature will not be available, but everything else should continue to work correctly.  See http://code.google.com/p/chromedriver/wiki/ReleaseNotes for more details.

As for selenium, I'm not sure what minimum version is required.  I can say however that the minimum version of selenium required shouldn't have changed over the past 3 chromedriver releases.  Generally there shouldn't be compatibility issues between selenium and ChromeDriver versions.  If there is, they will be mentioned in the release notes.

Thanks. Since I am stuck on 2.14.0 for now, I had to ask. I have
been seeing some bad behavior with Chrome (sometimes it fails to
start), so I will try and upgrade to the new version and see what
happens. If there is a problem I will let you know.

Did you get this to work with Chrome Driver.  I just tried the Chrome Driver a couple of weeks ago and couldn't get it to run.  I saw there was an issue filed against it that appeared to be the same thing I was seeing.  I'm on 2.19

It is working with 2.14 for me. I am currently unable to use higher
versions of Selenium for other reasons.
