select2 v4.0.3 ajax data

How to trigger select2 ajax request programatically.

I tried

but it doesn't work after selecting something I typed.

i tried adding keypress event on the searchbox but nothing happens.

sel22 is the expected, sel23 is the output of the keypress event.
