Hi,

I do not understand the API pricing at all. How will it work if I'm developing a Chrome extension for users to post from their browser? Or what if I want the users of my web application to be able to post content via Seesmic? I'm confused about where I'm being charged and why.

As for functionality, under the old Ping.fm system, you would obtain your app key and give that to whatever you wanted to post with your account. Will there be an OAuth system in place, or will we be using the same application key system as before? When will the API documentation be published?

Thanks,
-Tim

Right now we do not have API-specific pricing enabled. But if you are creating an app (chrome extension/web app/etc) that allows users to post through our service, the regular plan restrictions (Free/Plus/Pro) will apply on the API calls made on behalf of that user. They will have to sign up for a specific plan on our web interface.

We only offer OAuth to allow users to authenticate through 3rd party apps. The documentation will be published as soon as we reach a quality level we're confortable with, but we cannot commit to a specific date yet. However, feel free to use this group to ask any technical questions you might have.

Hope this helps,
George

Thanks,
