As reported yesterday in Seattle's news media, there has been a
new arrest associated with the Ujaama case. Abdul Raheem Al Arshad Ali,
31, AKA Andre Anderson, was arrested on Tuesday and appeared in court
on Wednesday. Ali is accused of obtaining a gun for Semi Osmon -- an
associate of James Ujaama -- who was charged with and pleaded to illegal
possession of a firearm. Ali, a U.S. citizen, ostensibly bought a .40
caliber gun for Osmon in 1999. Osmon and Ujaama are said to have been
associated with each other through their involvement in a now closed
Seattle Mosque and an alleged attempt to develop a Bly, Oregon ranch
into a terrorist training camp. It's quite likely that Ali was
arrested resulting from information provided to federal authorities
by Osmon subsequent to his plea agreement with prosecutors.
