Checkout single file?

This is more a conceptual question:

Can I checkout a single file out of a library? Edit it and check it in again? Or even make the client watch it for changes?

Or do I have to checkout the whole library before? And the sync client will track changes...

You have to checkout the whole library currently.

But we may add the feature to checkout a single file out of a library and watch the changes in the future.
