Hello, I'm trying to run seafile as a windows service, I follow the instructions just click the tray icon and set "Install as a windows service". The service was installed without any problems, but now running seafile as a Windows Service I can't access to web page or connect with windows clients. Any advice of what I'm doing wrong?. If I run seafile normal I mean no as a service I can access to web and connect with clients.

Thank you, in advance.

I'm having the exact same issue. I'm on Windows 8.1 if that helps. I'd love to know what I'm doing wrong and how to get this working. Thanks!

You have to write your local System Administrator in the Service
Hope it works for you

to seafile
Here is the solution:

1. Under Task Manager click on Services tab.
2. Under Services click on SeafileServer and then again right click on it and choose "Open Services"
3. Local Services window pane will be open.
4. Scroll to Seafile Server and Right Click to Properties
5. Seafile Properties windows will open
6. Click on Log On tab
7. Under log on as  choose This Account and type following:
8.  .\Administrator  (Dot Slash Administrator)
9. Type in your Admin password for Windows Server
10. Click OK

It will ask you to stop and restart the service

You should be able to use it as a service.

If you run into a problem complete all the 10 steps and stop and restart the service and then reboot your machine (window server when downtime is allowable).

Enjoy!.
