Hello,

We recently updated an instance of Omeka/Scripto to Omeka 2.2.2 and Scripto 2.0. are these two compatible?

We have been having issues uploading and transcribing items. The first is that thumbnails are not being generated for any items we upload. We are able to get to the actual image by clicking the thumbnail, but the actual thumbnail appears to be a broken image icon.

The second is that transcription is not working. We have Open Layers selected as the image viewer. when we click the transcribe the image appears but disappears as soon as we try to zoom in on it.

Any help with this would be appreciated!
Thank you!

They should be compatible.

Unless I'm misunderstanding, this sounds like a problem with Omeka,
not Scripto. You can raise this issue on their forums:

It appears that the version of OpenLayers that Scripto is using (2.10)
suffers a bit from software rot. The newest version (2.13) works OK,
so, until we fix it, you can replace
Scripto/views/shared/javascripts/OpenLayers.js with
http://openlayers.org/api/OpenLayers.js

Thank you Jim.

I have posted to the Omeka forum as well. Hopefully we will hear something soon.

Thank you for the link. I was able to get the zoom to work, but the control icons no longer appear. In their place is a tiny "+-". any thoughts about that?

Thank you!

The OpenLayers stylesheet needs to be updated as well. Just replace
Scripto/views/shared/javascripts/theme/default/style.css with
http://openlayers.org/api/theme/default/style.css

I'll be making updates to the plugin in the coming weeks, but in the
meantime these changes should make it functional. Thank you for your
patience.
