Hello,

are you asking how Grab (https://github.com/lorien/grab) compares to Scrapy?
Is it for a specific use-case or a generic question?

what features do you need?

Had not even heard of grab, comparing the features on grab github to scrapy seems to be similar to scrapy but a little more minimalist in features atm maybe being newer project ??

Scrapy would have a slightly higher learning curve initially due to the components, spiders/pipelines etc but i think more robust long term.

Grab would seem better if i just had some small xpath and wanted to quickly hit a site or file.

Notably grab didnt state css selectors on its page which Scrapy has.

If you don't mind Ruby Nokogiri is great.

Personally seeing jquery and/or xquery selectors would be great though if XML would just die then no need for xquery.
