Hey guys,

I thought we could use the `sciruby` gem as a starting point for a
SciRuby installation and also to act as an overview over the SciRuby
project as a whole.

Therefore I created the PR https://github.com/SciRuby/sciruby/pull/38
which was already merged by John. I removed all legacy code from
the gem and created two gemspecs `sciruby.gemspec` and
`sciruby-full.gemspec`.

The `sciruby` gem will only recommend other gems and if you are
really crazy you can use the `sciruby-full` gem which pulls them in. For
example the Dockerfile
https://github.com/SciRuby/sciruby-notebooks/blob/master/Dockerfile#L24
from `sciruby-notebooks` will soon use `sciruby-full`.

The list of gems is maintained in the Gemfile, see
https://github.com/SciRuby/sciruby/blob/master/Gemfile

If you want your gem to appear on the list, please open a PR.

...and please give some feedback!

Best,
Daniel

Hey Daniel, great job! I'm finally having some time to go through all
my e-mails and the changes in the sciruby gem are wonderful.

We need to update the sciruby.com website. There are lots of
information regarding GSoC 2015 and several of our gems that aren't
even mentioned in it.

If anyone wants to work on the website, please talk to me! :P

Thx! Please help out by keeping the list of gems updated! This
will give us a nice default installation at try.jupyter.org and also if
you do a gem install sciruby-full.

Best,
Daniel
