Are Scientists Nearing Completion of an Earth Dooms Day Machine?
Soon scientists will have particle accelerators that they predict will
be able to achieve enough energy where gravity becomes unified with
the other physical forces. In such devices, they predict many micro
black holes will be produced.
Scientists say that nature has been achieving this energy of particle
beams for eons in cosmic rays and such black holes apparently have
been produced as a result with no apparent bad effects on the earth.
Steven Hawking was one of the first to predict that black holes would
emit radiation and eventually decay when small enough and string
theorist predict that they will decay in the following manner which it
is eagerly hoped to be observed when such accelerators become
operational as a
"crowning" achievement of string theory.
The decay of the micro charged black hole [in theory]
proceeds through several stages. The initial confguration looses hair
associated with multipole
moments in a balding phase by the emission of classical gravitational
and gauge radiation.
Gauge charges inherited from the initial state partons are discharged
by Schwinger emission.
After this transient phase, the subsequent spinning black hole
evaporates by semi-classical
Hawking radiation in two phases: a brief spin-down phase in which
angular momentum is
shed, and a longer Schwarzschild phase. The evaporation phases give
rise to a large number
of quanta characteristic of the total entropy of the initial black
hole. At present it is not
possible to describe quantitatively the end point of Hawking
evaporation but a reasonable
expectation is that when the black hole mass decreases to the
fundamental Planck scale it
enters a Planck phase in which final decay takes place by the emission
of a few Planck scale
quanta. Most of the black hole decay products are Standard Model
quanta emitted on the
brane (our visible portion of spacetime) and are therefore visible
experimentally.
HOWEVER ALL THIS IS THEORY!!!
True the cosmic rays of nature could be producing micro black holes
for eons but these black holes could very well have almost speed of
light velocities and pass right though the earth BEFORE THEY WERE ABLE
TO DO ANY DAMAGE!!!
Some of the black holes produced in the new particle accelerators
COULD START TO OSCILLATE BACK AND FORTH SLOWLY AT FIRST AQUIRING MASS
FROM THE EARTH IN EXPONENTIAL FASION BUT VERY SOON >>>> sucking the
whole earth and solar system up inside the black hole as the results
of the Scientists' Black Hole Dooms Day Machine!!!!

Earth into strange matter. But my favorite is that a sufficiently
energetic collision will collapse the metastable vacuum and destroy the
