Nope, those areas are mediterranean. Did you notice that big wet place
nearby known as the Pacific Ocean?

To get to the desert, you have to go through one of the mountain passes
such as Cajon or Banning.

FYI there is a Walmart just south of Victorville off Bear Valley Rd
that is REALLY in the desert.

I shit/pee too many times per day to not use a "chamberpot".

After using it, I sprinkle "Arm&Hammer Carpet Odor Eliminator" on it.

A gallon container lasts 6+ days.

Basically, urinal cakes are just soap.

When I need to piss, I use a 32 once measuring cup.
After transfering it to a (well sealed) Rubbermaid Pitcher,
I squirt foam soap into it ( the cup ).

Two gallon containers lasts 6+ days.
Again, no smell, not one bit.
All who've seen it agree.

To refill the soap dispenser, I use:
"Ajax Pink Rose Lotion Liquid Dish Detergent, 1 gal".

I'm in Seattle, not California.

I don't want an open containter so near my bed;
so I use containers that are easy to seal, and seal well.

As soon as the petCo pet store opens, I'm going to 
check out the "Vittles Vault pet food storage containter".
It's easy to open/close, well sealed, and holds 8 gallons.

As I understand it, if you get a squatter like Glazier it usually takes
about 6 months to get the sheriff to evict him. That's 6 months free
rent, water and electricity for Herb. Plus he gets to post a USENET
horror story about how the sheriff was sent by "GOPers" to "kill" him!
