Well Duh.

When Algore won the Nobel Prize anyone with a brain immediately knew
that the Nobel award was totally political and it has lost any
credibility it ever had (as if it ever had any...remember Kissinger
getting it for his ending the Viet Nam war with an equitable
selttlement?)

So here it is. The Nobel Prize proves it's right up there with the
Oscars as simply politically motivated propaganda. Maybe Michael Moore
can win the next one for his "work" in implementing the UN small arms
gun-grab protocols. Only the unthinking public still believes that
these awards actually mean something. Feh.

This is an insult to Mother Theresa, really.

He probably threatened the Nobel committee he'll sue them for racism if
he didn't win, which is typical. Remember... he's a lawyer after all.

How can you tell if a politician is lying? His mouth is moving.

25 of the 44 US presidents were lawyers, including Gerald Ford,
Richard Nixon, even Abraham Lincoln.

And what did this original post of yours have to do with science?

It's pretty funny, bashing on any type of nuclear related research
automatically pops you a Nobel Prize.

This simply has something to do with you knowing about it.

That's the flimsiest justification of an off-topic post I've ever heard.
You might as well not have made an excuse.

If you don't like Obama, take it to a political newsgroup.

And you never heard of the Nobel Prizes (even the hokey "peace" one)
as being considered a relevant topic in science.

You are an idiot.

And this topic CLEARLY raises the scientific question: If the Nobel
Peace Prize is nothing but a fake "honor" bestowed on the basis of
political correctness, then one MUST wonder if the various other
prizes such as in medicine and physics are not similarly politically
contaminated? IF that could be shown to be true, then suddenly
receiving the Nobel Prize is not an honor bestowing recognition of
superior work in science, but rather an outright condemnation for
political maneuvering and power-elite brown-nosing. It says that
winning the Nobel Prize bestows SHAME on you not praise!

And THAT idiot Kahn is a valid topic in science. I take it you plan
to get your honors by espousing the "proper" politics and sucking up
to those with authority. Great plan... to bring shame on you and your
family.

The Nobel Prize, last year 3000 winners, this year 5000 winners (how
can 3000 people
get it at once?) now award con-trolls. Trolls are many, so they give
it to more as
con-troll greatnesses. Those able to control, can achive more by many
more as
all con-fashion.

He won it for not being George Bush - which immediately brought an enormous
amount of peace and stability to the planet.

You and Faux News don't like that he won it because Negro.

Why would I want to read Faux News' rightard agitprop?

Sometimes all you need to know is the SOURCE of an item to reject it
outright.

You aren't going to get good science from The Creation Science Institute -
you're going to get anti-science hoodoo mumbo jumbo.

You're not going to get good news from worldnetdaily.com or Faux News -
you're going to get right wing extremist screeds.

You didn't even have the intellectual integrity to link to one of Faux' NEWS
stories. You linked to an OPINION PIECE.

Those are facts and has nothing to do with any opinion. The guy mostly

The Nobel committee is a bunch of leftist morons who worship Obama as
some sort of god.

They gave it to Obama for taking a dump. Their lips are surgically
attached to Obama's ass.

It is their shameful attempt at meddling in American politics. They can
go to hell.

While I can't comment on the Oscars, you are right that the Nobel
Peace Prize is political.

That is as it should be. Advocating actions that promote peace (rather
than war) is political.

I guess the Nobel Committee, based in Sweden, considered what Obama
said both prior and after his election.

Prior to 1814 Sweden fought many wars
http://www.algonet.se/~hogman/slkrig_eng.htm

But since then has managed to avoid war.

So perhaps the Nobel Committee knows something about what was required
for that.
