While having a slice of humble pie with my morning
coffee, I opened my e-mail and was pleasantly surprised
to find a brief note from my good friend Michael Moore.
<
He sent me the brand new trailer for his latest movie,
"'Capitalism: A Love Story" in which he goes eyeball
to eyeball with the entire free-market economy.
<
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IhydyxRjujU
<
"It's a crime story," wrote Mike. "But it's also a war story
about class warfare. And a vampire movie, with the
upper one percent feeding off the rest of us. And, of course,
it's also a love story. Only it's about an abusive relationship.
<
"It's not about an individual, like Roger Smith, or a corporation,
or even an issue, like health care," he added. "This is the big
enchilada. This is about the thing that dominates all our lives --
the economy. I made it as if it was going to be the last movie
I was allowed to make."
<
Oh, by the way, Mike said it's also "a comedy," probably
the saddest one you've ever seen.
<
"'Capitalism: A Love Story" is premiering at the oldest film
festival in the world, the Venice International Film Festival.
<
Then Mike said he'll head to the Toronto International Film
Festival where 'Roger & Me' won the festival's People's
Choice award 20 years ago.
<
It is rumored that, when "Capitalism: A Love Story" opens
nationwide Oct. 2, the Stock Market, major corporations
and national financial institutions will be in Lockdown.

Boy, I can't wait until Mike starts production of his
next film, "Man as Old as Coal" and/or "Proof
of Life After Death."

Knowing THAT, there is absolutely NO chance that
